Delayed

Hey everyone! I know I haven't updated my blog in quite awhile, and I apologize for said lack of posting. A lot has been going on in my personal life lately, so I've taken the past week to reflect and relax. I'm also dealing with the stress of finals, so I've focused most of my time on studying and finishing up all of my last minute assignments. I promise, I haven't forgot about any of you! After this week, I'll be back to posting regularly.
I hope all of you are doing well. Thanks for reading!

D-D-D-Denim

I've been wanting a denim vest for days, so I finally decided to make one of my own! I took an old jean jacket that I never wear and chopped off the sleeves with my fabric scissors. Definitely the fastest and coolest DIY I've ever done. I'm hoping for a lot more time to work on personal clothing projects this summer (I've already purchased some bright, awesome dyes), which I'll definitely be showing you on here! I hope all of you have a great weekend. Thanks for reading!

I've had these shoes for years, though I've never really worn them. I happened upon them recently, and I've grown quite attached to them ever since. They're soooo comfortable, like pillows of feet massaging goodness.

Twelve Roses

The past week of school has been so hectic; I can't even imagine what my finals are going to be like. Thankfully, there's only two weeks left of school and I'm free! I'll still be working, but I'm going to have a lot more time to go out and catch up with friends.
Below is just another outfit I threw together for school, though I put a bit more thought into this than most clothes I wear on the days I have class. I love this dress; asymmetrical with a cut out back, yet it's still simple enough pair with other things. I feel like the combo of burgundy and dark florals makes this outfit very fall-esque, but I'm a sucker for earth tones and merlot. Besides, I've never been one to follow the rules when it comes to clothes (throws up both middle fingers).

Happy Wednesday everyone. I hope all of you are doing well, and thank you so much for taking the time to read! xx

Canary Creeper

Finally, I have the chance to show all of you the neon sweater I bought from Madewell! I've been swooning over the bright color and overall cut for days, but I finally pulled the trigger when I saw that it was on sale. It's even more comfortable and uhmaaazing than I imagined, go figure. This is definitely going to be one of my summer staples; perfect coverage for a windy day at the beach, while still letting a bit o' breeze through. Now that the month of May has hit, mind is totally set on summer mode. I can't wait for the semester to be over! Stoked
Also, I created a facebook fan page for my blog! If any of you would like to stay updated via le face, head on over and like away. Thanks for the support everyone!
The title of my post, "canary creeper", is actually the name of a South American plant with toothed petals and a bright yellow hue. Since I'm wearing floral and neon yellow, I felt like the plants title fit well with my outfit!
I bought this vintage Coach messenger off of eBay a few weeks ago, it was such a good purchase. The quality of the bag is outstanding, and the fact that I got it for a fraction of the retail price of Coach's new 'classic line' is definitely something worth bragging about. I've been meaning to add a black bag into my wardrobe, and this purse fits my style so well!
